Flammability Information

The majority of Place fabrics have been tested and pass the EUFAC EN-1021-1 (European Upholstered Furniture Action Council) which is the European equivalent to the NFPA 260 (National Fire Protection Agency).

The NFPA 260 test, commonly known as the “cigarette test”, measures a fabric’s ability to withstand combustion when subjected to a smoldering cigarette.

Place tests fabrics for NFPA 260 as required by project specifications.

If you are working on a project that requires NFPA 260 certification, contact Place.

The following Place fabrics currently have NFPA 260 certification on file. Any fabrics missing from this list will be tested upon request.
